Autumn Express was founded by Audelia Tan who was a very hardworking student who cared alot about her grades. Audelia could never seem to focus at home due to the many distractions she found herself getting herself into, thus the logical solution was for her to study outside. However, there were many unforseen obstacles she faced. Libraries were always filled to the brim, random HDB void decks were always too noisy and eateries would always rush her out of the place before she could finish her work. One day,the university student was drinking her home brewed coffee while in Japan appreciating the ambience, and it suddenly struck her, "What if I could open a cafe just for a conducive environment??, thus Autumn Express was born on 1999.
Audelia really enjoyed her time in Japan as it was relaxing during the autumn season. Autumn colours are at the warm end at of the colour spectrum, they automatically give a very "homely" and relaxing vibe when surrounded by the related colours. She wanted to recreate that soothing experience here in Singapore while incorporating her wants of a conducive environment for people. Therefore with this, people would be able to feel at ease while doing their work or simply to just lay back and chill in Autumn Express.
